Discovering Music
I first uncovered my passion for composition when a kind mentor taught me the basics of improvisation on my oboe when I was in Middle School. Years later, this improvisation "seed" developed into my first arrangements and compositions.
International Experiences
After several years of teaching music in public schools in Pennsylvania, I moved to Ecuador and discovered the joy of writing music, inspired by gorgeous scenery and a loving community.
My Inspiration
I find inspiration all around me. Since 2016, my husband, two daughters, and I are in Pennsylvania again and I find musical inspiration by taking walks, visiting new places, conversations with friends and family and simply slowing down and taking time in life.
